GDF SUEZ Subsidiary Sponsors “Caps Off” Program Hosted by WITF-TV

Program Will Provide Insight into Pennsylvania’s Energy Rate Cap Removal

GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA, the retail energy business of GDF SUEZ Energy North America, today announced it is co-sponsoring WITF-TV’s “Caps Off” program, airing Wednesday, November 25 th at 8:00 pm. This public forum will provide Pennsylvania viewers with advice and information regarding the elimination of electricity rate caps on January 1, 2010 in Pennsylvania Power and Light’s (PPL) service territory. The informative discussion will re-air on December 26 th and January 2 nd at 3:00 pm and also be available for viewing via WITF’s Web site, www.WITF.org.
The “Caps Off” forum is part of WITF’s 15-month initiative to update and empower Pennsylvania consumers in light of the current energy rate cap removal scheduled to take place in January. The campaign consists of several media components and, for this particular forum, Smart Talk host Nell McCormack Abom will moderate. Panelists include:
  • James Cawley, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission
  • Sonny Popowsky, PA Consumer Advocate
  • David DeCampli, President of PPL Electric Utilities
  • Andrew Kleit, Professor of Energy and Environmental Economics, Penn State
