Doubletree Arrives in “Med City” of Rochester, Minnesota
First Hilton Family Full-Service Hotel in Region Celebrates Completion of $10 Million Hotel Transformation
Business Wire
Doubletree
Hotels has announced the opening of the
Doubletree
Hotel Rochester/Downtown. To celebrate its new Doubletree name, the
Minnesota hotel has completed a $10 million renovation project, which
transformed the former Radisson
® hotel into a modern hotel
with stylish guest rooms, increased meeting and event space, delicious
dining offerings and more. Situated in the heart of the city center,
this 212-room hotel is a convenient, one-hour drive from the Twin Cities
of Minneapolis/St. Paul. The 100%, non-smoking, Doubletree Hotel
Rochester/Downtown is just two blocks from the world-renowned Mayo
Clinic via the downtown area’s convenient, climate-controlled skyway and
pedestrian subway system.
The Doubletree Hotel Rochester/Downtown is operated by Titan Hospitality
Group, under a franchise agreement with a subsidiary of
Hilton
Hotels Corporation.
“The opening of the
Doubletree
Hotel Rochester/Downtown is an excellent addition to our portfolio
of hotels in Minnesota and across the Midwest U.S.,” said Rob Palleschi,
global head for Doubletree Hotels. “The city of Rochester is a popular
medical and business destination. With such a central location to the
Mayo Civic Center, the University of Minnesota Rochester, the Rochester
Art Center and the area’s well-known medical and research facilities,
the Doubletree Hotel Rochester/Downtown presents visitors and area
residents with the ideal combination of comfortable accommodations and a
great gathering place for business and social events.”
The
Doubletree
Hotel Rochester/Downtown has been restyled with contemporary design
schemes and warm, vibrant colors and finishes. The hotel’s spacious
guestrooms and five luxurious suites offer such residential style
comforts as the brand’s signature Sweet Dreams by Doubletree Sleep
Experience, complimentary wireless and wired high-speed internet access,
37” flat screen TVs, MP3 compatible stereo clock radios, refrigerators,
microwaves and Wolfgang Puck gourmet coffee service. Guest bathrooms
feature granite vanities, Neutrogena
® bath and body products,
upgraded lighting and a curved shower rod that allows for 20% more space
in the shower.
With more than 8,000 square feet of expanded event space, the
Doubletree
Hotel Rochester/Downtown offers a spacious ballroom and an array of
complementing meeting breakout rooms. As part of the hotel’s
enhancements, the meeting space at the Doubletree Hotel
Rochester/Downtown has been equipped with a new permanent wall to the
ballroom and an additional meeting room that offer more flexibility and
increase productivity. These updated amenities combined with a
professional staff, that is available to assist with all aspects of
conventions, business meetings, seminars, weddings and other social
functions, make the
Doubletree
Hotel Rochester/Downtown an ideal location for any event.
One of the most exciting additions to the
Doubletree
Hotel Rochester/Downtown is the upscale, lobby level restaurant
Pescara. At Pescara, a talented culinary team prepares American cuisine
along with a selection of signature regional dishes that are all made
from scratch. Guests at Pescara can enjoy fresh forward food such as
seared ahi tuna, moulard duck breast, Black Angus filet mignon as well
as small plates and savory wines. For those who enjoy more basic fare, a
variety of steaks are available. For those who prefer to have a quieter
evening and dine in their room, a delicious room service menu is also
available.
In addition to providing exciting options for dining and socializing,
the
Doubletree
Hotel Rochester/ Downtown presents a variety of ways for guests to
unwind and have fun. Blue H20 Salon has just opened its doors on the
skyway level of the hotel. The salon invites guests and the public to
take the time to indulge in their state of the art full service hair and
nail salon. A new, indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna are also available
