Crush Films Acquires Minority Stake in Emmett/Furla Films
Business Wire
Crush Films' Gordon Bijelonic and Michael Matthias have recently
acquired a minority stake in Randall Emmett and George Furla’s
independent production company Emmett/Furla Films. EFF, who have
produced over fifty-five movies over the past ten years has a
development deal with Nu Image, are currently looking forward to
continuing their aggressive filmmaking streak with their new partners.
Matthias comes from the investment-banking world and recently together
with Bijelonic produced a six million dollar equity picture that
Matthias starred in alongside DMX. Bijelonic worked alongside Vin Diesel
for fifteen years and co-produced Diesel’s first feature,
Strays,
a critically acclaimed film at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival. Some of
EFF’s past films include
Righteous Kill
with Al Pacino and Robert Deniro,
16
Blocks with Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone’s
Rambo,
and the upcoming
Conan remake.
Bijelonic commented saying, “Michael and I have been a big fan of EFF’s
past films and we look forward to making great films together.”
