excursion, Best Buy is making the day even more memorable by crowning
twenty-five Black Friday VIP’s across the country. What better way to
celebrate the biggest shopping day of the season than by giving
consumers an exclusive VIP experience.
Best Buy, the nation’s leading consumer electronics retailer, is
celebrating Black Friday with the winners of its Black Friday VIP
contest—twenty-five consumers who represent all of the anticipation,
energy and joy that Black Friday shopping has to offer. These are
shoppers who believe you really get to know someone by standing in line
all night, sharing Thanksgiving dinner outside of a store with a new
friend and plotting a strategic route once the doors are officially
open. Best Buy has rewarded these die hard Black Friday shoppers by
giving them special access on the most anticipated shopping day of the
year.
Nearly 55,000 consumers shared what is most exciting for them this Black
Friday season as part of the Black Friday VIP contest. From creative
poems to heart-warming stories, each entry showed the many ways Black
Friday is an exciting time in people’s lives. From a father who has
spent thirteen years shopping at Best Buy on Black Friday with his
daughter to a husband who met his wife waiting in line close to twenty
years ago, the stories all shared why this is such an extraordinary day
for many.
One of the most humorous entries was submitted by a husband and wife
from Washington, D.C., who each shared their side of a story from a
recent Black Friday morning excursion. The wife was selected as the
official Black Friday VIP for the day.
Special VIP Treatment on Friday, Nov. 27
Each of the Black Friday VIP winners and three special guests will
receive a limousine ride to and from the designated Best Buy store,
on-site pampering, prizes along with early admittance into the store at
4:30 a.m. Winners also receive a $1,000 Best Buy gift card and an
Insignia® Digital Camcorder to document the Black Friday VIP experience.
