Over 300 Dealmakers Expected to Attend 6 th Annual Private Equity Expo
Business Wire
ACG Connecticut, the Connecticut Chapter of the Association for
Corporate Growth (ACG), the premier authority on corporate growth,
corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions, will hold the 6
th
annual ACG Connecticut Private Equity Expo in Stamford, CT, at the
Stamford Marriott on December 4, 2009, from 7:30-10:00 a.m.
Over 300 middle market dealmakers are expected to attend the event,
including private equity professionals, investment bankers, lenders,
corporate development officers, lawyers and other service providers
focused on corporate growth and mergers and acquisitions. The ACG
Connecticut Private Equity Expo is Connecticut’s leading and largest
showcase of local private equity and mezzanine financing firms, with
over 30 firms expected to participate in 2009, including: Apta Capital,
Altus Capital, Brookside Group, Capital Partners, Charter Oak Partners,
Compass Equity Group, Greyrock Capital Group, Gridiron Capital, Hamilton
Robinson, Ironwood Capital, Longroad Asset Management, Main Street
Resources, Post Capital, Richard L. Scott Investments, Ropart Asset
Management, Saugatuck Capital, Saw Mill Capital, Smith Whiley & Co.,
Southfield Capital, and Sterling Investment Partners.
"ACG Connecticut’s mission is to bring together the leaders in the M&A
industry to promote business in our region. The ACG Connecticut Private
Equity Expo is a forum that provides direct business networking between
deal sources and senior partners of exhibiting local private equity
firms,” said Ramsey Goodrich, President of ACG Connecticut. “Thanks to
our members, participants and sponsors the showcase has become an annual
blockbuster event, attracting attendees from across the country that
come here to do business with the premier private equity firms in and
around Connecticut."
Registration for the ACG Connecticut Private Equity Expo is now open.

“Unlike larger industry conferences, ACG Connecticut’s Private Equity
Expo offers a more intimate setting for exclusively local dealmakers to
exchange ideas and opportunities,” said Jim Barra, Managing Director,
Ironwood Capital in Avon, Connecticut. “In an environment where
attractive opportunities are scarce and transactions remain difficult to
close, these local relationships are extremely valuable.”
“Year after year, we count on the ACG Connecticut Private Equity Expo as
the most efficient and effective way to network with the leading private
equity firms in our region,“ said Michael Carter, Managing Director,
Carter, Morse & Mathias in Southport, Connecticut. “In two hours,
attendees can meet face to face with a Who’s Who in the Connecticut deal
making community. Now more than ever, it is imperative to meet and
network with these players before the market rebounds.”
